Situation
We support communities to overcome extreme multidimensional poverty by helping them address food insecurity, lack of water and sanitation, poor/no access to basic healthcare or education, and unemployment. Some have fled conflict and lost all they had, others are subsistence farmers or fisher folk whose livelihoods are plagued by climate change. They struggle with hunger, malnutrition, HIV/AIDS, infectious diseases, burns and smoke damage from burning kerosene for light and wood for cooking.
Solution
We provide clean technologies, expertise, flexible financing, market support and training to help communities kickstart their own development. Examples are solar electricity for income generation, education and healthcare; cleantech for water puming, irrigation, bio-toilets, smokeless cooking; and sustainable approaches to crop-, poultry- and fish- farming to create sustainable livelihoods. We deliver UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and promote awareness at the grassroots.
