Young people are disproportionately affected by climate change, even though they contribute the least to it. Despite global actions and initiatives being led by young people, youth organisations remain underfunded. Young people have told us that international organisations favour those who have many years experience, impeding the allocation of funding where it's most needed. Young people are also calling for opportunities to collaborate and to have full ownership in leading their own strategies.

The Youth Fund for Climate Action is the first of its kind - a fund designed by young people to provide rapid support for youth-led climate action around the world. It provides funding to support a diversity of actions, strengthen young climate activists’ skills, improve the collaboration between youth organisations and elevate their voice to catalyse government commitments. Projects will range from installing solar panels for a youth action centre to adapting farming to be climate resilient.
