We need to buy new equipment for our outdoor education sessions, including pond dipping trays, bat detectors, and binoculars. We simply won’t be able to run any family and school sessions (as well as bat walks and bird watching sessions) without it. Our outdoor learning programme delivers fun, interactive, educational sessions for children, young people, families, and adults in urban areas with few opportunities to access nature, so they can learn more about and value London’s wildlife.

With this equipment, we can continue to deliver a variety of learning activities for children, young people, families and adults. They will learn about the species and habitats found at these reserves and take part in fun outdoor activities such as pond dipping and bat walks, as well as learning more about what they can do for wildlife. People will feel more connected to nature in their community and feel a greater sense of ownership over their local nature reserve.
