Home-Start Cambridgeshire supports families who need extra support for various reasons; these can include, post-natal depression, anxiety, isolation, children's challenging behaviour or loneliness. Every parent goes through challenging times in their lives and we can be there to help and support all members of the family to achieve a better outcome for everyone.

We have trained volunteers who visit the families in their homes for 2-3 hours a week for up to 6 months. The volunteers offer non-judgemental practical and emotional support to the families. If a Mum is feeling isolated after having a baby the volunteer can help her access play groups or if a single parent needs to attend an appointment the volunteer will look after the children so the parent can attend. Our staff and volunteers help give the children a better start in life.
