This year has been particularly challenging for the young people we support. Moving from a homeless hostel or from care into your first home is tough at the best of times, but the impacts of Covid-19 have made this even harder. From the ban on evictions ending and higher youth unemployment rates, to more mental health challenges and increasing youth homelessness, this winter will be tough for young people. Help Settle to end youth homelessness - by stopping it from happening in the first place.
Solution
Settle tackles the root cause of homelessness - we help 18-25 year olds who are at risk of eviction to keep their home. We provide in-depth weekly 1:1 support sessions; from budgeting and helping young people understand their tenancy agreements, to finding work or accessing mental health services. We are supporting young people through the Covid-19 pandemic, but there are many more who are still struggling. Together, let’s break the cycle of youth homelessness now.
