Help us give 120 local children two weeks of fun, healthy and stimulating activities over the Easter holiday break. Young children, who are recovering from trauma and facing additional challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic, will be nurtured and cared for, in safe and loving environments.

School holidays are a difficult time for many of our families. It causes financial pressure on parents; there is an increased risk of children witnessing/experiencing abuse and many are stuck indoors. All the children we work with have survived or are experiencing trauma; our services are designed to help them heal. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, our children’s mental and physical wellbeing has been negatively affected, with many still eating poor diets.
2 weeks of carefully planned activities will see children learning about wellbeing, nutritious food and feeling safe to express their emotions. Trips are organised in line with government guidelines and masks are provided for all volunteers and children. Our ratio of 1 adult to 2 children means young children feel special and worthy of adult attention. Previous activities have included a cooking club, coached boxing and yoga, group music lessons and football.
