Mental Health problems increasingly affect young people but early identification & intervention enhances life prospects. Covid-19 led to a 6 month physical school closure for most, resulting in stress, the absence of a trusted place & worse mental health. School must support students wellbeing more than ever. To succeed in studies & life, we must intervene early to support students to improve mental health, increase resilience & learn coping strategies, enabling them to achieve their potential.

We know which students are struggling with their mental health, and need a range of accessible in-school services to support them. • Access to regular counselling services • A mental health peer mentoring scheme • Drama/Art/Music therapy • Training to enable staff to better support students mental health By identifying young people with mental health needs and enabling them to easily access the right support in a safe space, we can help them achieve their potential at school and beyond
