We are raising funds to enable every single pupil at The Yehudi Menuhin School to have access to quality IT and recording equipment that will significantly enhance their musical and academic education, and allow them to develop the technology and life skills required of a 21st century musician.

The Yehudi Menuhin School (YMS) provides a holistic musical and academic education to British and international string players, pianists and guitarists aged 8-19. Pupils are selected based on talent & potential, irrespective of their parents’ financial means: more than 90% of pupils need a bursary. Few have individual access to quality IT (tablets, recording equipment) which affects their learning negatively as well as their ability to make high-quality recordings for auditions and competitions.

The School will purchase sufficient tablets so all pupils have individual access to high-quality equipment both inside and outside of the classroom. Older pupils will be allowed to take tablets home during the holidays. Teachers will receive matching tablets and interactive whiteboards, to enhance the educational experience in the classroom. YMS will also purchase up to 12 cameras and microphones for pupils to learn to make professional-level recordings independently.
