    Situation

Slavery- the shackles & chains have gone but a modern form has swept across the UK. In Bristol, there are thousands of people trapped right this moment. Modern slavery tears lives apart. It tricks people into the hands of traffickers with the promise of a job that doesn't exist. It rips victims from their families, whilst eating away at their freedom & dignity. For those who do escape, trauma, depression, poverty & battles with immigration are their harsh reality, now made worse by Covid-19.

    Solution

Unseen's Outreach Service is there for survivors to help with every aspect of rebuilding their life in Bristol. Whether its supporting them with their trauma, going with them to a mother & baby group or helping them navigate the confusing welfare system. Since CV-19, our team has been supporting over 60 survivors & their families through lockdown, some homeless, many without enough food. Most other local outreach activity has stopped & demand for Unseen’s vital, ongoing outreach grows each month
