We are raising funds to treat 16 children at the CURE Children’s Hospital of Zimbabwe. Opening in January 2021, CCHZ is the first specialist paediatric orthopaedic hospital in Zimbabwe, providing life-changing treatment to children with correctable disabilities, helping them return to a normal life.

In Zimbabwe there is a chronic lack of paediatric orthopaedic care for children with disabilities. Over 370,000 children in Zimbabwe are suffering from treatable conditions, that prevent them from walking properly and attending school, and which cause pain, poverty, and isolation. However, there is no dedicated service for these children, especially the specialized surgical and rehabilitative care required to improve their mobility and functionality, and therefore quality of life.
At CCHZ, we will provide high quality reconstructive orthopaedic surgery for children who suffer from clubfoot, joint infections, angular knee deformities & old trauma. The hospital will link with other community organisations in diagnosis and treatment and serve as a surgical training site for local health professionals, strengthening the country’s healthcare system. Through this we will sustainably improve access to orthopaedic services for children with physical disabilities in Zimbabwe.
