Every day, people in the world’s poorest places become needlessly blind because of conditions that can be easily treated. Help people See the Way to a brighter future through sight saving surgery, glasses and support. Your donation will be matched online through the Big Give. This will later be matched again by the UK government, therefore trebling your donation.

Three out of four people who are blind don’t need to be. For many women, men and children living with avoidable blindness in the world’s poorest places, sight-saving treatment is out of reach due to no access to the most basic eye health services. Cataracts is the leading cause of blindness in Malawi and only 45% of blind people who need cataract surgery have access to it. Too often for people living in poverty, losing your sight also means losing the chance to go to school or earn a living.

With your support, we aim to help people in remote places in Malawi See the Way to a brighter future. Donations will help train local staff, equip hospitals and strengthen eye health systems to ensure lasting sustainable change. We aim to help more people access sight-saving surgery, glasses and support, so they can go to school, earn a living and be active in their communities. Your Big Give donation will also be matched by the UK government, meaning your donation will have TRIPLE the impact!
