Two people die because of violence every minute. One in five of us wake up in a warzone each morning. Conflict is a disease, and some communities may never fully recover from it. Top-down, international efforts alone are not working. Wars restart, conflicts continue and outbreaks of violence create more violence. For too long, local people have been prevented from resolving their own conflicts. They're the solution; we need to let them lead. But they need our funding and support to do so.

We partner directly with local groups, helping them to provide their communities with the skills, tools and knowledge necessary to build and sustain lasting peace. We also offer these partners a global platform, ensuring that the international community increasingly sees them as integral to the successful resolution of conflict.
