RADA provides vital learning opportunities for disadvantaged young people in London who are interested in pursuing a career in the dramatic arts (acting and technical theatre). We encourage engagement from young people living in poverty and people from BAME backgrounds.

With continued cuts to arts education and the devastating impact of COVID-19 on the arts industry, young people are at risk of not being exposed to the educational benefits of the arts, most notably pupils from BAME backgrounds and low-income families. RADA as leader in dramatic arts training, believes that it is our responsibility to encourage diverse participation within higher education by creating accessible pathways to it.

RADA is committed to reducing barriers to theatre by actively seeking to engage people with little or no access to the arts. Every year we aim to enable people of all financial and social backgrounds to experience performing arts education of the highest standard. As the arts industry begins to re-build after COVID-19, it is fundamental that it is re-built with diversity and equality at its centre. Our work with young people will ensure that those with talent, will be the artists of the future.
