Situation
Vascular EDS is a life threatening connective tissue disorder that affects all tissues, arteries and internal organs making them extremely fragile. Patients often feel isolated and worry about the affects of this disorder which can be spontaneous. 90% of our surveyed families indicated they would like to meet others touched by Vascular EDS.
Solution
Host a family retreat weekend for those affected by Vascular EDS. We aim to bring together 30 families for a weekend of peer support, entertainment and talks from medical professionals. We will also provide workshops on mental health and well-being.
