Lucy Cavendish College is planning a 'Giving Day' on 03/12/2019. This event aims to raise the profile of the College to encourage non-traditional students from disadvantaged backgrounds to apply to Cambridge and to raise funds to support them as they begin to make a positive impact on society.

Many of the brightest students feel an Oxbridge education is not for them. Lack of support in the application process and also after arrival limit their options. This means that many of the most talented poeple do not receive the educational opportunities they deserve. We want to show that Cambridge is for them by making the application process less daunting, providing financial support to help with fees and living costs and in doing so, make Cambridge a more diverse and inclusive University.
Lucy Cavendish seeks to provide those from disadvantaged and non-traditional backgrounds access to an Oxbridge education and the support they need to succeed upon admission. A Giving Day not only raises the profile of the College and allows us to effectively reach out to communities where the best students who lack access are found, but it also allows our alumnae of all ages to donate to funds providing bursaries and general student support. Special support programmes will also be run.
