We are a non-destruct charity and aim to manage feral cat colonies by either trap neuter and return or rehoming. Our existing feral pens need to be rebuilt and expanded to enable us to help more cats in the Coventry area and make a bigger impact on this significant problem.

Situation
Coventry has a population of nearly half a million people and a significant problem with unwanted and stray cats. A key aspect of managing feral colonies is to trap and neuter the animals keeping them initially in our feral pens prior to return or rehoming. The problem is so great that we do not have sufficient space at our centre or enough volunteers to help all the cats and kittens that need it. Our existing feral pens as the first stage in the process need to be replaced and expanded.
Solution
Replace and enlarge our feral cat pens to allow for us to care for more cats in a clean, secure and comfortable environment. Our feral pens are often the “bottleneck” in effectively managing feral colonies, the additional capacity will allow a much greater flow of cats and kittens through our care. The new pens will be purpose built to a specification that exceeds the recommendations of the Association of Dog and Cats Homes of which Coventry Cat Group is a member.
