Access to healthcare services in Moria Refugee Camp is severely limited. Kitrinos Healthcare offers medical aid to Moria residents in our on-site clinic, which sees up to 80 people per day suffering from a range of health issues, including winter infections, injuries, depression and PTSD.

Camp Moria is Lesvos Island’s largest refugee camp, holding around 8,000 people. The camp is completely unsuitable for human habitation, with unsanitary, overcrowded and dangerous living conditions leading to an array of physical and mental health problems, which are exacerbated by cold winter conditions. Access to medical services is incredibly limited, and the local clinics and hospital are already overstretched with nearest facilities over an hours’ walk away.
We operate a 7-day-per-week clinical service within the camp, and offer consultations, triage & referral to local hospitals, acute illness care, wound treatment and chronic disease management. We also work in collaboration with Peaceful Heart Network to provide Stress Regulation therapy to those suffering from stress and mental health issues. We also offer outreach to those who are too frail or unwell to get to the clinic.
