Our free loan service bridges the gap in the existing NHS provision, for which waiting lists are six months to one year. Our service provides high quality equipment IMMEDIATELY upon request; enabling patients to leave hospital and recover much faster. This past year we have answered over 2500 requests for equipment for various items of life-enhancing health equipment: Wheelchairs, blood pressure monitors, neubilisers, electric beds, bath chairs and a range of other supplies. However, we are struggling to meet recent demands and need to purchase various items including: Electric hospital beds with cot sides, memory foam mattresses, high quality adult and children's wheelchairs, wheelchair power packs, chair commodes, shower chairs, electric recliners, wheelchair ramps and nebulizers. This project will cost around £200,000. These items will promote and improve safety, mobility and independence and lead to faster recovery and rehabilitation. NHS patients and individuals who do not fit in with the NHS’s strict eligibility criteria for help will then be able to receive the same quality equipment as private health care patients. No other organisation provides a service of this kind.
