  • East Africa is experiencing its worst drought in 60 years. Refugee camps in the area are already struggling to provide for those in the camps and thousands more are arriving each day. Almost half the children arriving at refugee camps in Ethiopia from Somalia are malnourished, leaving them vulnerable to life threatening diseases. Vital funds are urgently needed so that we can respond to this crisis and ensure that many more lives aren’t lost.

Distaster Emergency Committee charities are already on the ground working to provide much needed aid to those affected. They are working to restore boreholes and provide clean water, as well as emergency nutrition and livelihoods rehabilitation to help communities recover from this devastating crisis.
