We are going to demolish two church halls and a youth cabin and build a new 9,000 sqft community centre with a range of office and meeting spaces, a flat and a large space for community events with seating for up to 180 people.

Situation
Cullompton is a Market town which has suffered serious decline over the last 50 years and which is becoming more of a commuter town for both Exeter and Taunton. It lacks significant infrastructure with no railway station, no swimming pool and nowhere for the community to meet and hold larger events. This project sets out to solve the problem of the lack of a community meeting space and with a range of meeting spaces for upto 180 people
Solution
The new community centre will be arranged over two floors (with a flat above) and provide offices for consultations, meeting rooms for mums and Toddler groups and a main meeting area to accomodate up to 180 seated. We have undertaken extensive public consultation to assess the community demand and this has been "designed in" to the building arrangement
