Situation
Reasons: People living with disability haev limited access to play, leisure social opportunites and are therefore at risk of social exclusion. This project aims to bring families together for mutual support and for social interaction. Details: Up to 100 people (children, adults, siblings, carers and volunteers) are provided with residential weekend break for respite and access to play and leisure. The weekend provides the children and adults with opportunites to take part in challenging activities increasing thier confidence, social and physical development. Financial breakdown: Accomodation, meals, workshop leader expenses including delegates and volunteers = £5,000 Activities = £800 Transport and other volunteer expenses including training = £1,500 Total project cost = £7,300
