Survivors for Peace will engage victims/survivors of politically motivated violence (terrorism) in making a contribution to peace building by turning a painful and challenging experience into a positive opportunity for development, leadership and inspiration for others. The Foundation is the only organistion in the U.K undertaking this work.

    Situation

    The new programme will build on our 6 years of experience working with victims of the Northern Ireland 'Trouble's who live in Great Britain, Programme activities will be offered to people in the United Kingdom who have been bereaved, injured and witnesses or themselves engaged in acts of politically motivated violence, such as the ‘Troubles’, 9/11, 7/7, military campaigns and conflicts. It will also include people affected by prejudice & racism. The activities fall under the following headings: • Storytelling and dialogue workshops • Conflict transformation & peace building education • Archive & Testimony • Advocacy & Awareness Raising • Leadership Development
