The goals of the workshops with children with learning difficulties is to improve the well being, self esteem and general behaviour of these children who can have extremely challenging behaviour. WE feel strongly that it is an issue of social justice thagt children and adults with autism or learning difficulties out to have access to classical muisc/music workshops as their peers do. This principle is integral with our programme of expansion and working with partners thoughtout the UK

The project will enable us significantly increase our help to this group and their families and carers, by participation in our tailored live music making workshops. We find that music has a way of communicating with these sometimes rather withdrawn and anxious children; it can produce a real calm and allow them to interact with the music and musicians.
