The Met’s Big Idea is to turn the currently unused first floor of Edwin Street Studios (situated behind The Met) into a usable participation space and offices, helping to generate additional income, supporting local creative industries and fulfilling community demand.

The Met would like to run additional projects alongside our weekly participation programme. We need additional participation space to meet the demand for workshops. In addition, there are a number of creative businesses that need support from a larger creative businesses and its networks.
The space on the first floor of Edwin Street is unused. This huge space (100sq meters) can be turned into additional participation space and offices with minimal effort.
