To provide free healthy breakfasts to primary school children in the most deprived areas of the UK, who arrive at school too hungry to learn. To educate parents and the whole school community on the benefits of a good breakfast and help schools become self funding. We want to reach 100 new schools.

Situation
For 1 in 4 children the only hot food they receive is the food at school. This means that thousands of primary school children arrive too hungry to learn. This causes poor concentration and a range of hunger based behaviour problems. It is estimated that 700,000 children are in this situation, caused by three main factors - lack of family time, lack of food awareness and lack of money. Children are missing out now and potentially on their future success because they are too hungry to learn.
Solution
Magic Breakfast delivers free healthy breakfast food to primary schools where children arrive too hungry to learn. We provide porridge, orange juice, bagels and cereals, free of charge to schools which meet our criteria. We work closely with each individual school and offer as much food as needed - without stigma to any child. We offer as much food as is needed - in some schools there are breakfast clubs plus food in the first lessson. We educate parents and offer enterprise & finance skills.
