We now receive many calls from all over the UK and Europe from people wanting to secure a work experience placement to give them hands-on opportunities within wildlife treatment and rehabilitation. Centres with the facilities to take anyone other than local people on placements are few and far between. We have been granted planning permission for this £400,000 facilty which will provide facilities to tutor up to 50 students at a time, as we regularly have groups of college students here to fulfill their wildlife module within their animal care course. It will also provide temporary living accommodation for 4-6 longer term placements, for periods of up to 6 months, to enable students from further afield to carry out work experience placements.
