CARE sees access to affordable financial services as central to addressing poverty and it has been promoting the provision of microfinance for more than two decades. Of the world's 500 million micro and small business owners, less than 2 percent have access to financial services and the business training vital for the success of their enterprises.

Lendwithcare.org will enable people in the developed world to connect with someone in the developing world who needs a loan to start or grow their small business, working their way out of poverty. The whole loan goes to the entrepreneur and is paid back to the lender to be re-loaned to another entrepreneur thus being recycled. For this reason, we also need donations to cover the cost of running lendwithcare.org and support our wider work using microfinance to lift people out of poverty.
