When people experience baby loss, they receive little or no information to help them through this traumatic experience. The Mariposa Trust are looking to produce a new comprehensive pack that will be distributed widely across the NHS, and will be available free for anyone suffering baby loss.

There are around 257,000 babies lost each year in the UK, through pregnancy, at birth and in infancy. The parents of the babies, along with their family and friends are often left traumatised, and having to work through the overwhelming grief and pain, whilst feeling isolated, and with little information. The Mariposa Trust provides support that reaches over 50,000 people each week, and is dedicated to providing comprehensive support, at the point they need it most.

The charity currently provides resources freely across the NHS and beyond, but the charity wants to help tackle the grief and pain someone is experiencing as soon as possible. By producing a more comprehensive support pack, people will have access to key information, a guide to terminology, general support & advice, plus lots more. This will be an invaluable tool in helping people at the darkest point in their lives, and giving them the tools to access the support they need.
