To speed up the transition from sight loss to coping by an early intervention rehabilitation programme. This is aimed at any ages. It looks to reduce mental health problems related to sight loss and also work with clients to develop skills to support normalising their disability

Situation
It aims to target people as early as possible following diagnosis. This allows a speedy rehabilitation programme to be implemented. The aim of the project is to lead and support the service users with the changes and with their new life. It includes teaching new skills, supporting with employment and reducing social isolation.
Solution
By offering counselling services which will tackle mental health issues, typically anxiety and depression as well as suicidal thoughts. By teaching practical skills and by using gadgets to help with every day tasks, for example computer software and cane techniques. Providing advocacy services to help with entitlements and adjustments to housing etc. By leading the service to new social clubs and activities. By supporting and facilitating new friendships.
