To launch an electronic headache diary 'app' for migraine sufferers. A key aspect of diagnosing migraine and seeking appropriate treatment is by sufferers keeping a diary. Current diaries are paper based but by making them electronic they will be a more useful tool for patient, Dr and for research.

Currently our patients fill these in on paper templates that we provide, and this is also the case across the NHS: GPs regularly recommend our paper diaries to patients. These are time consuming to fill in, and carrying around bits of paper is not conducive to our modern lives. They do not offer the patient any other added benefits ie. education, alerts when they have taken too much mediation and the data cannot be searched or analysed to see patterns that could help with diagnosis and research
An ediary will be quick and easy to fill in, it will be accessible at all times via a smartphone or computer. The system will allow doctors access to up-to-date data on individuals but also in a more general sense, analyse this data for trends to improve future patient care.
