A sick child has to endure physical suffering plus the burden of emotional distress. Everyone tries to limit the stress a child experiences in hospital. Hospitals increasingly try to make a child's hospital stay as pleasant as possible but they have limited funding for non-medical activities. This is where Pod can help.

Each month a Pod magician, musician, puppeteer or clown visits a hospital or hospice and provides a 40 minute show designed to appeal to children of all ages. After wards the entertainer visits children who are too poorly to join in so everyone has something to smile about. Pod helps to distract children from their pain and worry and encourages participation. Pod visits provide an element of special excitement and outside stimulus - everyone joins in the fun and tension evaporates.
