  • Without additional support many children with additional needs and disabilities aren't able to attend mainstream leisure activities. A report published in 2002 suggests that 80% of parents who have a child with a disability said that their children could not go to local clubs. These clubs are vital for developing children's social and communication skills, their independence and their self esteem and confidence. Without these opportunities children can become very isolated.

By recruiting, training and supporting volunteers the Me2 Club enables children and young people to attend a leisure activity of their choice regardless of any difficulty/disability they may face. Volunteers are able to offer 1-to1 support and provide a role model to the child. They help them to join in, make friends and have fun! The Me2 Club provides comprehensive induction training and ongoing support to volunteers to ensure they are able to provide the best possible support to their child.
