We want to be able to run our Young Achievers Awards to enable us to recognise the incredible volunteering achievments of young people. By recognising young people we believe we can inspire others to make real and valuable contributions to their community.

We want to see every young person celebrated for the work they do. We achieve this by running a national awards programme: the Young Achievers Awards. The awards are split into four categories: Art, sport, community and environment, which are open to anyone aged between 16 and 25. We reward 56 young people, with eight main winners, two in each category. Part of the prize the winners will receive is a support package, delivered by the project manager, where we work with the winners to help further develop the projects they are involved in. This helps them have a greater reach in their community; engage more young people and encourages the projects to become more sustainable through fundraising sessions, volunteer management and development pathways. The Young Achievers Trust is led by young people, with a Board of Trustees, all under 26 years old, all of whom have achieved incredible things either as volunteers, social entrepreneurs or in their working career. The Trust has the drive, ambition, knowledge and passion to effectively deliver and lead an awards programme, inspiring young people from the very beginning of their involvement with us. The Young Achievers Trust is currently the only awards programme which celebrates individual young people for their voluntary work whilst also offering more than just an accolade. Our prizes and partnership work allow us to fully support and promote personal development of not just the award winners but all the young people influenced by our winners.
