To provide a practical secondary education and skills training for bright children from the poorest, most deprived backgrounds in Zambia and neighbouring countries at the Pestalozzi African Children's Village just outside Lusaka, we plan to build a school on the same site.

Situation
Lack of quality secondary education in Zambia, especially in rural areas. Lack of relevant skills training that will help young people into employment. Lack of opportunites for really bright children to advance into further education, or the management and leadership roles that would enable them to lead their communities and country out of poverty.
Solution
Disadvantaged children from rural areas are selected for their academic and leadership potential on a ratio of two girls to one boy. By establishing a well-equipped secondary school at our Children's Village just outside Lusaka, we will give our scholars every opportunity to develop their natural skills and talents, in accordance with the Pestalozzi principle of educating 'head, heart and hand', with a strong ethos of using their education to help those less fortunate.
