The new bus will contains a range of examples of all the latest technology available to help and assist deaf children. Some examples of this technology include; • Telephones and Mobile phones • Textphones, Videophones • Radio aids • Alarm clocks and alerting devices • Smoke alarms • Subtitled films and programmes This purpose built vehicle features examples of all the latest equipment designed to assist in the communication and learning of deaf children. Visitors can try out examples of all the equipment for themselves. They can also access a wide range of leaflets and publications on technology and other NDCS services. The bus additionally helps to raise public awareness of childhood deafness. The bus is a technology exhibition designed to ‘bring technology to deaf children across the nation’ and is a mobile extension of the technology exhibition centre that we have at NDCS national office in London.
