Every year we receive hundreds of new referrals from agencies who identify young people who are at risk of disengaging or who have already been excluded from education, their community or family and are classed as NEET (Not in Education, Training or Employment). In order for us to continue with our work we need to offer a quality service that addresses a wide range of needs. We will not compromise the needs of children and young people in Cornwall due to restriction of finances, but quality is expensive to sustain! We therefore have an ongoing agenda to raise our profile and to secure long term funding and donations. £15 registers one young person under AQA accreditation £50 buys a climbing harness and 2 karabiners £100 buys an abseil rope £120 pays for transport for a young person to come to BFA and complete a 12 week programme £200 buys water- and wind proof clothing for our young clients £300 buys food for our breakfast club, providing day start energy for young people who for various reasons have not had breakfast £400 buys a PC for our computer lounge for clients to do job search and practice their computer skills
