Following a disaster, survivors need help meeting their immediate needs and achieving long-term, sustainable recovery. Our charity, EDV, focuses on long-term recovery by asking what made a community vulnerable to disaster in the first place and what we can do to make that community stronger in the long-term. We also help survivors meet their basic needs by helping them identify potential sources of food and emergency shelter.

The Rapid Response fund ensures that we’ll have the funding we need to travel to a disaster zone, set up a base of operations, and invest in projects which will start rebuilding disaster affected communities from day one. Our projects always focus on building local capacity, ensuring that an investment in the Rapid Response Fund is also an investment in long-term change.
