The Age UK Enfield Dementia Centre in conjunction with The Parker Day Care Centre, would help support people with dementia to continue living at home whilst giving the carers much needed breaks from their caring role. 9 respite beds would allow for overnight accommodation too.

Previously the only option for carers has been to place the cared for person, in a residential home which results in the client becoming confused and disorientated by their strange surroundings.

By allowing carers to know their cared for person is being looked after by the specialists, allows the carer time to take a break, holiday, attend to shopping duties etc
