The Menagesha Home is a rehabilitation centre based on the outskirts of Addis Ababa dedicated to helping children to walk again. Many of the children that visit the home are victims of polio paralysis. Those who survive this disease may experience severe damage to their nervous system causing limbs to become wasted and useless. The Centre is cut off from the nearest town and it is devoid of basic infrastructure such as piped water supply. The spring water has limited capacity and the centre falls short of water supplies after the month of May each year. This brings acute water shortage that creates sanitary problems for the centre.

We are hoping to provide a supply of water to the centre but cannot do this without the generous support of our donors. If the project gets secures funding, a primary school with over 400 students adjacent to the Menagesha Centre would stand to benefit too. Pile Foundation & Water Well Drilling P.L.C kindly volunteered to conduct a hydro-geophysical investigation and have submitted a proposal. The cost of the project is £35,000
