We have a passion to help orphans in Ukraine. Most Ukraine orphans graduate from orphanages at 16 lacking in key life skills and knowledge of thier rights and entitlements. As a result, they often end up in desperate situations. We want to change this, we want to give them the steps to their future.

Situation
In Ukraine, orphans tend to be cared for in orphanages, with very little experience of the world outside of the orphanage; Then, when they reach 16 they are asked to leave their orphanage, usually inexperienced and unprepared, and start a life on their own. Often these children get wrapped up in organised crime, prostitution and trafficking, rather than being able to access any opportunities for progress.
Solution
The Todays Family team will provide support at various levels for these children. They will get to know the children as individuals, teach them life skills and their legal rights through workshops, and advocate for them where necessary to ensure the best care, support and future success for these children. Alongside this, we will seek to add in practical systems to help them to access positive opportunities, for example a free minibus service, because they often cannot afford to pay for travel
