We need to install permanent overhead hoists to each residential room in Chaseley Home, to improve the quality of life for our residents and assist our staff. Currently mobile hoists are shared between approx 6 or 7 residents, which sometimes means long waits. The upgrade will help enormously.

Situation
We wish to avoid our residents having to wait for a mobile hoist to become free, we wish to make it possible for one member of staff to be able to operate the hoist, instead of two, and we wish to avoid the potential for accidents and staff back strain, which can occur with mobile hoists. An overhead hoist will also free up floor space within the room to aid movement and allow additional furniture if wanted.
Solution
Each resident will have their own overhead hoist permanently installed in their room, which will solve all of the above problems.
