Irma is the most powerful and devastating hurricane ever recorded in the Atlantic Ocean. We are running an emergency fundraising project to help the residents of the islands who have been struck by the hurricane and have urgent need for food, shelter and other necessities.
Hurricane Irma made landfall on Wednesday 30th. Since then, it has brought much destruction. Hurricane Irma is the most powerful hurricane ever recorded in the Atlantic Ocean. As it continues its path across the Caribbean, the extent of the devastation is starting to become clear. So far, the islands of St Martin and Barbuda have borne the brunt of the storm. Also affected are the British Overseas Territories of Anguilla, the British Virgin Islands, and the Turks and Caicos Islands.
The people that live in those territories have urgent need for food, shelter and other necessities.
