Health inequalities, isolation, lack of confidence, lack of advice & poor circumstances suffered by people with visual impairment living in isolated / rural West Sussex.Being vulnerable due to sight loss, whatever the age, can have a profound impact on the ability to access services resulting in many knock on effects - Research shows that the social circumstances and the quality of life of visually impaired older people over 50, children & those from ethnic minority communities differ widely.
Solution
Inclusion, participation and independence for people with sight loss. Effects of sight loss are reduced improving the health & well being of people, such as reducing the risk of accident, injury or depression.
