This annual tournament held in the spring, brings together teams from all over the borough of Wandsworth in a lively and competitive day in Battersea Park. It is open to boys and girls between the ages of 11 and 16 from local youth clubs and groups. This year we are holding the tournament on Saturday 8th May 2010.

Battersea Summer Scheme's programme of events ‘kicks off’ with a 5-a-side Football competition held in Battersea Park in the spring which helps promote awareness of our summer programme of activities and has become a regular fixture in the clubs football calendar. Last year's tournament was again very successful and enjoyable with over 20 teams attending. Chelsea Football Club is wonderful at helping to organise this as well as being invaluable during our week in the park. They report that these two events are some of the best activities available for the young people in the borough during the year. Trophies are awarded to the winning teams. We would like to expand this event to give the teams further training during the year, club 'kit', knock out rounds and awards and rewards to those achieving on all levels such as attendance, assistance as well as football merits.
