Envision enables young people to realise their capacity to make a difference. Since 2000, its award winning programme has supported groups of 16-19 year olds to become role models in their communities by tackling environmental & social issues - building a new generation of motivated and empowered active citizens.

The Envision Programme grew from grassroots seven years ago in London. 100 schools and colleges and thousands of young people on, we now have the potential for national expansion. Envision is an award winning youth empowerment charity - set up by young people in 2000. It is recognised to have a proven and scalable model, able to engage diverse young people in tackling local social & environmental issues. The Envision Programme on a national level will create thousands of positive young role models, 16-19 yr olds, leading by example by setting up their own projects in local communities around the UK. Our mission is to create a tipping point changing the current dominant image of young people - as “hoodies” or “chavs”. As ambassadors who will actively challenge society's perception of young people, Envision's young volunteers come from many different backgrounds and can make a difference to any issue they are passionate about by working together and inspiring those around them. Envision fills a gap by giving young people the proper support, knowledge and self belief. Having made contact with audiences and partners in locations including Bristol and Manchester, we are seeking funding to expand this simple and highly effective model to build a network of young people around the country. The proposed programme will involve local teams tackling local issues, regional events to bring them together, and a national web portal to enable them to learn about each others' projects and be inspired by their collective capacity. Having been part of the programme, young people continue to tackle local issues and inspire others to do likewise as part of a growing Envision network.
