The Galilee Foundation’s core work revolves around its Scholarship Programme which, since its inauguration in 2007, has supported more than 400 young people in attending universities across Israel and abroad.

There are 1.5m Palestinian citizens of Israel, about 20% of the total population, and 370,000 of those are internally displaced. 61% of Palestinian families in Israel live below the poverty line. The Galilee Foundation’s vision is to contribute to breaking the cycle of poverty and marginalisation by offering opportunities to access higher education.

The Galilee Foundation also requires all our students to undertake voluntary placements to help their local community, within their universities, and organising events which promote Palestinian culture.
