For the past 9 years, Safe Haven has rented the site from which its sanctuary/rescue centre operates. We now need to buy this or an alternative site in order to secure the future for the donkeys of Israel and Palestine.

Situation
Since 2001, Safe Haven for Donkeys in the Holy Land has been renting a 4 acre site near the Israeli town of Netanya. Today, this oasis of peace amongst the strife of the Middle East is home to over 100 abandoned and abused donkeys, mules and horses as well as being the base from which Safe Haven's vital veterinary outreach work is conducted. However, the time has come where the charity is outgrowing the site and needs to buy either the existing site (if we bought, an extra 4 acres of land would come with the purchse) or an alternative farm. The sanctuary is also used as a base for the charity's vital outreach work, providing free veterinary care for working donkeys, mules and horses in Israel and the Palestinian Territories. We have already raised approximately £194,000 specifically towards this vital project and need in the region of £250,000 if we are to secure the future of the charity and the animals and people who depend on it.
