Nightstop is a project which delivers crucial emergency accommodation to young people, in order to prevent homelessness. We provide up to 14 nights accommodation in a volunteer's spare room and help them secure appropriate long-term homes, while also building independent life skills.

Homelessness and precarious living arrangements put individuals at risk of harm. Young people are particularly vulnerable. If their homelessness is not tackled quickly they are likely to drop out of education, employment or training, with severe implications for their long-term prospects. Preventing these young people from entering a cycle of unemployment and homelessness is our primary focus. Our ambition is that those we help never have to experience homelessness again.

Nightstop provides a safe place to stay in an emergency. Accommodation is provided in an ordinary home environment, to help a young person through a period of crisis. We place them with a volunteer host as close as possible to their college or place of work, so that these aspects of their life are not impacted by their homelessness. Whilst in Nightstop, the young person is fully supported and we work with other agencies to ensure that they can move into safe, permanent accommodation.
