There are many young people in our network who have a lot of talent but are unable to progress it because of the disadvantages they’ve had in life which have led to them to experience homelessness. We want to give financial grants of £100-£300 for young people to use to develop a talent of theirs.

Situation
Young people experiencing homelessness don’t often get the same investment in their talent and potential as those who have the support and backing from family or home. Equally they might not have the skills to secure employment which would lead to disposable income for personal pursuits – investment in their own skills, talents, hopes and dreams. We believe there is already too much wasted talent - this project aims to level the playing field so all young people can unlock their potential.
Solution
This project will make small, personalised financial investments in young people ranging from £100 - £300 which will be used to develop a skill, pursue a passion, or invest in a raw talent. The money will provide financial backup to the emotional and time investment already made in young people. The Foyer Federation will work in partnership with Foyers on the ground across the UK to encourage young people who receive a talent bond in their pursuits.
