This campaign has now closed
We are recruiting additional paramedics to work on the Wiltshire Air Ambulance. Our existing paramedics have completed a Critical Care Paramedic course and we would like the new paramedics to undertake this course in 2015.

Situation
In 2013 the life-saving helicopter was called to 733 incidents which included 112 night flights. These incidents included road traffic collisions, heart attacks, strokes, horse-riding accidents, child-related emergencies to sporting and cycling injuries. The speed of the helicopter, combined with the skill of the experienced crew, can make the difference between life and death.
Solution
The current paramedics on board Witshire Air Ambulance have all completed additional training to become Critical Care Paramedics (CCP). The course has given them an extensive amount of underpinning knowledge in advanced pre-hospital care and medicine. At the scene of an accident, they are now able able to assess and diagnose illness and injuries and treat patients using more powerful drugs and equipment on scene that up to now was only used in hospital.
